Life Focus Center: Millerick to Remain Part of Process

Agency slow to respond to press inquiries.

Leaders from the Life Focus Center met with clients and families last week to talk about what will come next in the wake of the .

Charlestown Patch learned about the meeting from a reader early last week, but could not verify the report with the center until late Monday.

“The meeting you refer to with the families was a private one and I can’t comment on what was said there,” said Justine Griffin, the center’s hired spokesperson in an email to Charlestown Patch. “It was focused on the care plan for their relatives.”

“Jack Millerick and senior staff are working with DDS to ensure the smooth transition of care for Life Focus Center consumers,” the email continued. “He has committed to both DDS and the family members that he will remain involved in this transition process to ensure that those who need services get the continued care they deserve.”

Griffin had been unresponsive to Charlestown Patch’s calls for comments. We placed several across several days last week, followed by one more Monday morning. After the lack of response, we visited the Life Focus Center.

A man there told us that no one at the center would speak to the press—that the group had hired a public relations agency for that task. After being told that the Griffin had been unresponsive, the man said he would talk to the agency about that. He then closed his office door.

The agency called Charlestown Patch shortly after.
