Man Drowns After Falling off Boat in Boston Harbor

The victim was pronounced dead at Tufts Medical Center.

A man riding on a boat in Boston Harbor fell into the water and drowned Sunday afternoon, police officials say.

Two other passengers on the boat noticed the individual missing and actually pulled the man from the water before crews arrived at the scene around 4 p.m.

EMS workers performed CPR before the man was transported to Tufts Medical Center for treatment. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The victim’s named has not been released, but officials say the man was in his 50s.

Officials say the drowning was an accident. The investigation into the matter remains active and ongoing at this time.
