MBTA Announces Fourth of July Service Schedule
A complete look at the MBTA's service schedule for Saturday, July 4.

The MBTA has announced its service schedule ahead of the Independence Day holiday. Customers are urged to use public transportation to and from Fourth of July events as many roads will blocked off.
It’s important to note, starting at 2 p.m., subway service on all lines will operate at rush-hour levels to accommodate increased holiday ridership. Fares will be free after 9:30 p.m.
The Subway schedule is as follows:

• The Red Line will operate a Sunday schedule with rush-hour levels of service beginning at 2 p.m. to accommodate holiday ridership and will operate extended late-night hours as Fourth of July is on a Saturday.
• The Orange Line will operate a Sunday schedule with rush-hour levels of service beginning at 2 p.m. to accommodate holiday ridership and will operate extended late-night hours as Fourth of July is on a Saturday.
• The Blue Line will operate a Sunday schedule with rush-hour levels of service beginning at 2 p.m. to accommodate holiday ridership and will operate extended late-night hours as Fourth of July is on a Saturday.
• The Silver Line will operate a Sunday schedule with rush-hour levels of service beginning at 2 p.m. to accommodate holiday ridership and will operate extended late-night hours as Fourth of July is on a Saturday.
• The Green Line B-, C-, D-, and E-Branches will operate a Sunday schedule with rush-hour levels of service beginning at 2 p.m. to accommodate holiday ridership and will operate extended late-night hours as Fourth of July is on a Saturday.
Note: All subway lines will operate a regular weekday schedule on the observed Independence Day of Friday, July 3, 2015.

The Commuter Rail schedule is as follows:
• The Fairmount Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Fitchburg/South Acton Line will operate a regular Saturday schedule with no diversion in service. Customers should please note that normal train service will operate on Saturday, July 4, 2015, as well as on Sunday, July 5, 2015.
• The Framingham/Worcester Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Franklin Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Greenbush Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Haverhill Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Kingston/Plymouth Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Lowell Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Middleborough/Lakeville Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Needham Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Newburyport/Rockport Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
• The Providence/Stoughton Line will operate a Saturday schedule.
Note: All Commuter Rail lines will operate a regular weekday schedule on the observed Independence Day of Friday, July 3, 2015.
