Father Daniel Mahoney hosted the Memorial Mass for deceased military of Charlestown. The congregants of St Francis DeSales parish were joined by members of JW Conway Bunker Hill Post 26 of the American Legion and Women's Auxiliary. Department Adjutant and incoming post commander Milton Lashus proudly took his position front and center. Local political leaders Representative Dan Ryan and Councilwoman Lydia Edwards attended and joined the gathering for coffee and refreshments following the service. The USS Constitution Color Guard were an admiral addition to the event and we thank them for their service, The legion post has sponsored these services for decades and at least the last 25 years at St Francis.
