On Friday, July 13th, from 2 to 3 PM, the new North Bank Bridge connecting Paul Revere Park in Charlestown to North Point Park in Cambridge will formally open in a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring Governor Deval Patrick and other dignitaries. The ribbon cutting and the Governor and friends will be on the North Point Park side of the North Bank Bridge, and we expect coitizens and guest from both sides will be able to cross the Bridge around 2;30 PM.
The Charlestown Mother Association, the Charlestown Mothers’ Association and the Friends of City Square Park will be hosting the celebration on the Paul Revere Park end of the bridge. Free ice cream and drinks will be available for all, The Mother’s Association will sponsor children’s entertainment and the Balloons Extraordinaire, who will be present to entertain and create animal shapes for all young at hearts.

We encourage one and all to come and enjoy the show in the shade of the Zakim/Bunker Hill Bridge. When the North Bank Bridge opens we will all walk across and meet our new friends on the Cambridge side, and enjoy entertainment and activities hosted by EF and the Boston Cyclists Union.
