MWRA Wind Turbine Should Spin Again Next Month
Crews are currently working on the turbine's foundation.

The Charlestown wind turbine should spin again next month after yet again being shut down for repairs.
Since returning to intermittent operation under observation , the turbine went dormant again, and has remained so for several weeks.
Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Executive Director Fred Laskey told Fox 25 News recently that the turbine has been shut down to rebuild its foundation, which () sunk faster than expected.

Laskey called the foundation repair a "bump in the road." He told the news program that he expects the work to cost about $500,000, but that cost will fall on the contractor, not the MWRA or the state.
