PIER 6 restaurant (prior Tavern on The Water location) is opening soon. There is a fabulous outdoor bar on the lower deck. Hoping that the upscale pub menu will not disappoint. Does anyone know the history of the restaurants on Pier 6? The 1st one I remember was the Quarter Deck or was that the Above Deck?
By the time this hits the press Whole Foods will have opened. During the absence of our local grocery I discovered an Asian market in Chinatown across from 1000 Washington Street that offers free parking and fresh produce at amazingly low prices. But you better be able to identify your greens because it's all Asian characters. And keep an eye on the level of MSG in the sauces and powders. Happy endless summer!
