NEW Health Charlestown is part of a network of more than 1500 “federally qualified” health centers nationwide, serving more than 24 million Americans. Health centers go beyond traditional health care to address the factors in the community that may cause disease: stress, nutrition and food insecurity, unemployment, poverty, substance abuse, mental health and much more. In addition, NEW Health as a patient centered medical home provides most services under one roof: primary care, pediatrics, adolescent care, geriatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, vision, dental, behavioral health and substance use disorders.
Coming Soon: We will be offering a pharmacy program for our patients who do not have access to low cost prescriptions. Also, in partnership with Boston Medical Center and Fresh Truck, our patients with food insecurity will be given cash vouchers to be used on the Fresh Truck. We will also be giving grocery bags to our food insecure patients on a monthly basis. Look for details starting in September.
