Officials have yet to identify the remains of a female child found on Boston’s Deer Island last week, according to Suffolk District Attorney Daniel Conley, but they were able to release a computer-generated image based on what they believe she looked like.
Conley said there are no strong leads in regards to the child’s identity.

“Who she is remains a mystery to us,” Conley said at a press conference Thursday.
Investigators don’t believe the child had been left on the beach for all too long when a woman walking her dog discovered the body on June 25.

Responders found the child in an industrial trash bag, wearing white polka-dot leggings, and wrapped in zebra-print blanket, according to Conley. The leggings were manufactured by Circo, a brand sold at Target.
The Suffolk District Attorney’s office released images of the child’s leggings and blanket:
Those who conducted an autopsy on the child were unable to determine a cause of death as no signs of injury could be found. Conley described the death as an “unnatural” one.
Police do believe she was about 4 years of age, three and a half feet tall, with brown eyes and brown hair.
Law enforcement officials encourage those with any information regarding the identity of the child to immediately come forward. Investigators are reviewing missing child reports nationwide and have alerted police departments throughout the country.
