Name: Kelly Wright
Age: 32
Goal: To have a great race!
Reason for running: I started running marathons in 2010 as a way to challenge myself and stay in shape. I was immediately hooked! It quickly became my goal to run all of the world marathon majors (Boston, Chicago, NYC, London, Berlin, and Tokyo). I had the opportunity to run Boston in 2012 for Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and the experience was incredible. I decided to continue running races for charity, and that year I raised nearly $10,000 for cancer research in donations for the Boston and Chicago Marathons. I have since also run the NYC and Berlin Marathons, but running Boston for local charities remains closest to my heart. This year, I am running with a group of medical providers to encourage school-aged kids to join the sport by hosting running events at schools around the country.
