Rally around the Charlestown Rink to win the Hockeyville contest!

I nominated the Emmons Horrigan O’Neil rink to be selected as the winning rink in the Kraft Hockeyville contest. The Grand prize is $150,000 in upgrades and improvements to the rink with an opportunity to host an NHL preseason game. First prize is $30,000 in rink upgrades and second prize is $10,000 in rink upgrades. The rinks are judged the week of March 11th, and on March 31st they announce the four finalists that were chosen by the judges. The public votes April 13-14 on the four finalists to choose the winners.

The rinks are judged by how many Rally points they have earned. We get Rally points for sharing stories about the rink, sharing the page on Twitter, writing notes on the page, and uploading pictures. These need to be done by many individuals, as each person can only share one story, one note, and 5 pictures. The more stories, pictures and notes that people share, the more likely we will be chosen as a finalist. So PLEASE share your pictures and stories about why this rink is so important to our community and our community spirit, how the rink brings our community together, what upgrades would we like and how would they strengthen our community. Write this for outsiders so that the judges can see how important this rink and youth hockey is for our community. All Rally points need to be earned by March 10th, so go on line and do it today!
