Restaurateur's 5th Somerville Spot Opening Wednesday at Assembly Row
The new restaurant features "elevated street food."

Restauratuer Ken Kelly’s fifth Somerville establishment, River Bar, is opening Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Assembly Row.
Kelly is also behind Brass Union and The Independent in Union Square and Foundry on Elm and Saloon in Davis Square.

River Bar will feature “elevated street food,” according to a release from the restaurant. Large entrées on the restaurant’s opening dinner menu include: whole grilled fish ($21), roasted vadouvan half chicken ($22), grilled sirloin ($32), housemade Chinese sausage sub ($13) and grilled and sautéed vegetables ($15).
Chef Patrick Gilmartin, of Staff Meal Food Truck and Rialto, will run the kitchen.

River Bar is at 661 Assembly Row. It will have 36 seats indoors and has a 123-seat, 2,600-square-foot outdoor patio, which will be covered and heated during the cold months. The outdoor patio has a bar, couches, fire pits and water views.
River Bar will be open for lunch weekdays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and for brunch weekends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be open for dinner daily from 5-11 p.m. and will have a late-night menu daily until 12:45 a.m.
