Smoke-Filled Train Causes Red Line Delays

A smoke-filled Red Line train caused passenger panic and severe MBTA delays Thursday morning.

The Boston Globe reported that the incident occurred at Quincy Center Station.

Officials said the situation was linked to a failure in the train’s propulsion system. 

The Quincy Fire Department said it responded to reports of smoke in a subway train at the station. No one was injured, officials said.
