1. Violent robberies may be over for now. Boston Police Det. Charles Wilson told approximately 30 residents at the public safety committee Tuesday night that, , the department believes that the recent crimes are , and investigators have “very good suspects” in mind. One of the suspects has already been arrested for other charges, Wilson said, and, correspondingly, no further violent robberies have happened.

3. City councilors pick Feeney as Clerk. City Councilors as the new City Clerk, giving the plum job to former City Councilor Maureen Feeney. The post, which includes being parliamentarian at City Council meetings and running the city's archives, pays about $102,000. But previous clerks have earned tens of thousands more gathering fees from officiating marriages.

4. Charlestown woman charged with prostitution. Two 48-year-old females, including Xiaoping Wan, 48, of 10 Walford Way in Charlestown, were following a tip off to the Danvers Police that Newbury Body Work, a massage parlor at 435 Newbury St. was offering more than massages.

5. City to crack down on nightclub violations. The will conduct quarterly and random, unannounced inspections on any given licensed premises to ensure compliance and safety and the Unit may conduct inspections of multiple premises in different areas on a given night.
