Upcoming Art Reception in Charlestown to Honor Wounded Vets

An upcoming art exhibition in Charlestown aims to honor wounded veterans.

The “YOU. ARE. BEAUTIFUL: A Tribute to Warriors” exhibit will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the McGladrey Art Gallery, 80 City Sq. in Charlestown.

The exhibition will feature the work of photographer Thi Linh Wernau, which can be viewed here.

The event will include complimentary drinks, light appetizers and a showcase of more than 30 photographs from the art series. Several of the wounded vets featured in the exhibit will also be in attendance.

The event will benefit the Boston Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, which provides care and support services to veterans and their families affected by deployment- or combat-related stress or traumatic brain injury.
