Want To Clean Up Charlestown? 'Boston Shines' Is Coming!
Boston is having two city-wide clean-up days April 27th and 28th, and those who want to pitch in in Charlestown should connect with the Mayor's Liaison to the neighborhood, Danielle Valle Fitzgerald.

Want to get The Town cleaned up?
The Mayor's Liaison to Charlestown, Danielle Valle Fitzgerald, is organizing Charlestown residents for a community-wide clean-up on Saturday and Sunday, April 27th and 28th.
The sites chosen for clean-up are up to Charlestown residents, and while the city is providing organizing support and tools, the manpower is ultimately up to neighbors.

If you know of a spot in the Town that you'd like to clean up on those days, the first step is emailing Valle Fitzgerald at danielle.fitzgerald@cityofboston.gov or calling her at 617-635-3549 and letting her know where you're planning to clean up, how many people you've talked to who think they might help, and anything else you might need from the city on that day.
And, since the clean-up is taking place throughout Boston and tools (such as rakes) will be allocated to different neighborhoods based on citizen responses, anyone who wants to make sure their site gets enough tools and support should contact Valle Fitzgerald with the site they'd like to work on at least a week in advance of the clean-up date.

Do you have the energy to clean, but don't know where to go? Valle Fitzgerald can also connect you with volunteers who are planning to work on Charlestown sites during Boston Shines, and is available to answer any questions you may have about the project.
