Whole Foods Market to Open in South End

Whole Foods Market’s newest location, at 348 Harrison Ave. in Boston’s South End, will open with the company’s traditional bread-breaking ceremony on Friday, Jan. 9 at 9:45 a.m. The store will officially open for business at 10 a.m.

A company website press release indicated the 50,000–square-foot store will be Whole Foods Market’s 30th Massachusetts location, and will serve as the company’s Boston flagship. The store is located in the Ink Block Development on the property of the former Boston Herald building.
