11th Annual Grace Race in Chelmsford on Saturday Oct. 4th!

Dear Chelmsford community,

Please join us for a fall tradition: The 11th Annual Grace Race 5-mile road race and 5K walk takes place on Saturday October 4th at 275 Billerica Rd. in Chelmsford. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome! Race starts at 10 AM and registration opens at 8:30 AM. Parking is at Kronos, a block away on Billerica Rd. The race features prize money for top finishers (both Open and Master’s divisions), age-group awards, team competition, awards for personal fund-raising, shirts to all pre-registrants, great post-race refreshment, a generous spread of raffle prizes, and more. Proceeds benefit the education and empowerment of Kenyan children. The One27 Academy, an orphanage, school, and vocational training center in Naivasha, Kenya, was constructed using funds raised through the Grace Race over the last 10 years and opened in January 2013.

This year’s funds will be directed specifically toward the purchase of critical vocational training equipment to teach the youth at this school a number of trades including welding, carpentry, auto mechanics, computers/IT, tailoring, and agriculture. Runners and walkers can earn prizes for personal fund-raising. More information is posted at www.gracerace.org. Marx Running and FItness is assisting us with race logistics again this year.
