Chelmsford Elementary and Middle School Singers Selected for the 2015 Massachusetts Music Educators Association (MMEA) All-State Treble Chorus!
The CPS Fine and Performing Arts Department is proud to announce that 17 students from Chelmsford were selected.

The All State Treble Chorus showcases the talent of some of the state’s youngest singers. This program is offered by the MMEA as an enrichment opportunity providing a musical experience to talented young people. Participating students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their artistry and to create new friendships.
Auditions for the Chorus were open to students in grades 4-6 whose teachers are members of MMEA, and audition recordings were submitted online. Over 500 students auditioned for the Chorus, and fewer than 200 were accepted.
The students will rehearse with guest conductors and then perform in a concert at the annual MMEA Conference in Boston on Saturday, March 21, 2015. Judy Bowers, Professor of Choral Music Education at the Florida State University, will be the conductor of this year’s All State Treble Chorus.
