5 Dates You Need to Know for the Town Election

Are you running for Town Meeting Rep or another seat on a town board or committee? You'll want to mark these dates on your calendar.

Are you running for an office in town or thinking about it? Since all Town Meeting Reps have to run again thanks to the , there are a lot of people who need to remember these dates. Mark your calendar so you don't miss a thing.

1. Feb. 10: The last day to pull papers for an office in town.

2. Feb. 14: Papers are due back at the Town Clerk's office so the board of registrars can check signatures. 50 signatures are needed to run for town-wide office, and 25 signatures are needed to run for Town Meeting rep.

3. March 13: The day political signs are allowed to be placed around town on private property - 21 days prior to the election, as required by the town's bylaws.

4. April 3: The annual town election.

5. April 17: All political signs must be removed by this day.
