This past Saturday, 10/1,  a group of our students spent from 11:00 to 6:00 helping out with a secret fundraiser that was held by a group called SmithFest.  One hundred teams of four were sent out to perform the craziest stunts and find the list of treasures on their maps.

The team who did all the tasks in the required time won $4000.   While having a tremendous amount of fun, this year SmithFest raised money for Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA), an organization that many of you know is close to our hearts and for Make-a-Wish Foundation.

The students who helped out were asked to run stations; blocking, kicks, candle-punching and board-breaking.  Each team would split up and go to different stations and would have to perform their task.

Each Alpha student did a wonderful job in maintaining their station.  We would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts the students who volunteered for these great organizations.
