Innovation Academy Charter School Graduates Chelmsford Seniors in Class of 2013

 

The Innovation Academy Charter School (IACS) is proud to announce the graduation of seven Chelmsford residents from the Class of 2013 this past Saturday, June 15, 2013. This is the third high school graduating class from IACS, a  public charter school providing middle and high school students with a challenging, interdisciplinary college preparatory education. The Class of 2013 were addressed by leaders and fellow classmates describing their transition into the ‘Age of Change’ and encouraged to apply the courage and growth they’ve experienced at the Academy to make a difference in the world.

Innovation Academy’s mission is to prepare students for 21st Century success by preparing them for the rigors of college as well as life beyond college. IACS was founded in 1996 as a middle school by a small group of Chelmsford residents interested in offering collaborative, hands-on education, and 17 years later now owns over 200 acres of campus in Tyngsboro, Ma and enrolls over 600 - 5th through 12th graders attending from over 12 Massachusetts communities. Innovation Academy holds high academic standards for all students, with a focus on challenging students to be thoughtful problem solvers, effective communicators, active community members and self-directed in their academic and social pursuits.
