Annual Holiday Prelude, Tree Lighting Ceremony is Sunday, Dec. 7

Chelmsford to celebrate the holidays with annual event.

Chelmsford is gearing up to celebrate the holidays. On the first Sunday in December, the town kicks off the holiday season with an event that brings everyone together - the annual holiday prelude.

The annual holiday prelude will take place throughout the town center and the commons from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7, with the tree lighting at 5 pm.

This year’s prelude will include horse drawn and tractor hayrides for the entire family, face painting, and music performed by various music groups scattered throughout the center. There will be goodies galore, sparkling lights and of course Santa.
