We aren't just watching your children; we are sprouting the skills they need to lead the next generation.We're excited to partner with families to give kids a summer that's both fun and truly meaningful. At SkillSprout America, campers explore math, money, and mindset through hands-on projects, games, and real-world challenges designed just for elementary-age students. They will practice smart money habits, build confidence as problem-solvers, and strengthen the character skills that help them thrive in school and in life.
Our week-long camps blend engaging academics with classic summer-camp energy: teamwork, creativity, movement, and plenty of laughter. Each day, campers rotate through math adventures, kid-friendly financial literacy activities, and growth mindset sessions, all led by caring adults who are passionate about teaching and youth development. We keep group sizes small, so every child is known by name and encouraged at their level.
Whether your child loves numbers, is just starting to feel confident in math, or has never heard the phrase "growth mindset" before, they'll find a welcoming place here. By the end of the summer session, campers leave with new friends, practical money skills, and a stronger belief in their own ability to learn and succeed. This summer, the Chelmsford Community Band continues its decades-long tradition of providing live musical performances on Chelmsford Town Common.&nbsp; Bring your folding chairs and your blankets and set yourself up on the grass as the summer heat switches over to the cool of evening, the stars come out, and local volunteer musicians share with the community their love of music.

The band’s 7pm Tuesday series starts on July 14 with the Jazz Ensemble, directed by Art Bakopolus, and they will also perform on July 28 and August 11.&nbsp; On the alternating Tuesdays, you will be able to hear the Concert Band under the direction of Eric Linsner performing programs of show tunes, marches, and light Americana on July 21, August 4, and August 18.&nbsp; This summer series has been made possible with a grant from the Chelmsford Cultural Council.

The Chelmsford Community Band is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and has a 75-piece concert band and a 20-piece jazz ensemble made of dedicated volunteer musicians with a proud tradition of bringing live musical performances to this community since 1972.&nbsp; They depend on grants from local businesses, arts organizations such as the Chelmsford Cultural Council, and your donations.&nbsp; Follow them on Facebook, Instagram, or BlueSky, and find them online at <a href="https://www.chelmsfordcommunityband.com" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">www.chelmsfordcommunityband.com</a>.

Registration is now open for Vacation Bible School (VBS) at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 242 Boston Road (Rt. 4), Chelmsford. VBS will run Monday through Friday, August 10 through 14, from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. This year’s program is “Operation Overboard: Dare to Go Deep with God,” an invitation and challenge to dive into God’s word and discover what faith is all about. During the week, students will learn Bible stories, participate in crafts and other activities, play games, and enjoy snacks.

VBS is open to all children ages 4 through 12. The cost of the program is $20 per child or a family maximum of $60.
