Calling all Singers

Central Congregational Church will have a concert on Dec. 21. The y will be singing Carols from Around the World. Rehearsals begin Nov. 2.

Singers are needed for a community choir event – Carols from Around the World – to be held on Sunday, December 21 at 4:00. Rehearsals will be on Sundays from 2:00 – 3:30 starting November 2. Both the rehearsals and concert will be at Central Congregational Church, UCC in Chelmsford and directed by Frances Burmeister. Contact her at fburmeister@hotmail.com for more information.

The centerpiece of the concert is Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols (SATB version) with harp accompaniment. Other featured carols are Gesu Bambino, Angels We Have Heard on High, and André Thomas’ rousing Keep Your Lamps Trimmed and Burning.

There is a fee of $10 to each singer to help cover the cost of the sheet music. The church is located at 1 Worthen Street in downtown Chelmsford. The parking lot entrance is on North Road (Route 4) at the foot of Fletcher Street. Handicapped accessible.
