CGC Thrilled to Plant Daffodils
This article describes projects done by the Chelmsford Garden Club and their plans for an upcoming project.

As the erection of a new Fire Station in Chelmsford nears completion, the Chelmsford Garden Club members are “fired up” to make the grounds at the town offices beautiful once again. They have already planted 350 daffodil bulbs that will be a glorious welcome to spring. Future plans are to plant shrubs and flowers to camouflage the generator and other necessary equipment in the front and back of the buildings. This, of course, will be an expensive proposition but plans for our annual fundraiser are underway. The Club members are planning a fashion show, Fabulous Fashions and Beyond, with a raffle and silent auction to raise money for the many civic projects that the Club does each year. The show will take place on November 13, 2014 and doors open at 6:00 PM.
The public might like to know that the club donates $500 to COSS, provides a $1000 scholarship to a Chelmsford student, plants one or more trees on Arbor Day, beautifies the grounds at the Town Offices, the common, the park at Vinal Square, helps with the dye garden at the Garrison House, and sends holiday arrangements to the Town Offices and the Chelmsford Public Library. These are just a few of their numerous projects. Tickets for the fashion show are available for $20 at Harrington Liquor and Wine Store, 20 Summer St. or by calling 978-251-1635.
