Chelmsford Community Concert Band Welcomes Guest Trumpet Soloist Thomas Palance to the Stage in November 2nd Concert
The Chelmsford Community Concert Band will share the stage with renowned trumpet soloist Thomas Palance for a concert on November 2nd.

In its inaugural year under the baton of director Lucinda Ellert, the Chelmsford Community Concert Band will be switching up its traditional performance schedule and sharing the stage with renowned trumpet soloist Thomas Palance for a concert on November 2nd.
A 20-year veteran of the United States Navy Band who has performed for 5 U.S. presidents, Palance conducts the North Shore’s Orchestra on the Hill, has taught trumpet jazz band and jazz methods at the University of New Hampshire, and serves on the faculty at The Boston Conservatory and Salem State College. He recently shared his gifts as a performer and a music educator in a Master Class workshop with the Chelmsford trumpet section in preparation for this performance.
The concert will highlight Palance as a soloist throughout the program, featuring such pieces as Bennett’s Rose Variations, Goedicke’s Concert Etude, and the Concertino for Three Brass. This last will also spotlight the talents of three performers from within the band: Eric Linsner on trumpet, David Tweed on Tuba, and Alex Harmon on trombone.
