Chelmsford Police Help Locate Attempted Murder Suspect

According to a report in the Lowell Sun, Billerica Police were in search of a man wanted for a stabbing on Friday night.

When Billerica police officers were attempting to locate an allegedly violent suspect on Friday night, they had some assistance from the Chelmsford Police Department. And in particular they got a hand, or paw to be exact, from a four-legged officer.

According to a report in the Lowell Sun, a 44-year-old Billerica man allegedly stabbed a man during a possibly domestic incident around 10 p.m.

A Chelmsford K-9 Unit was called to Billerica, according to The Sun, and tracked Ronald Lee along power lines near the home where the stabbing took place.

Lee was eventually located by the Chelmsford K-9, arrested, and charged with attempted murder, mayhem, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to the newspaper.
