Chelmsford-Westford PMC Kids Ride

PMC Kids Rides became an official PMC program in 2005 as a way to include young cyclists in the Pan-Mass Challenge mission raising money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through its Jimmy Fund. The program engages youth in philanthropy, instills the value of working for the benefit of others, and promotes athletic fitness and physical activity.

The PMC Kids Rides Program offers children, parents, and neighbors an opportunity to work together to create individual bike-a-thons in neighborhoods, at schools, or in business complexes. These rides enable children between the ages of 3 and 15 to ride their bikes and solicit sponsors to donate money to cancer research.

• Registration fee: $15
  Mandatory fundraising minimum: $25, suggested: $30

The arrival point is the Byam School, 25 Maple Road Chelmsford.Registration at 8am and the ride will begin at 9am for both rides.

4 Mile Route:

- Byam School

- To Ginger Ale Plaza

- Back to Byam School

10 Mile Route:

- Byam School

- To Rt. 27 Crossing

- Reverse direction to Ginger Ale Plaza

- Reverse direction back to the Byam School

Adult supervision will be provided along the route as well as at every intersection. The intersections along this route are very lightly traveled and will have orange cones and 2 crossing supervisors.

Tiny Tots Ride

We will have an area for small children riding on tricycles and training wheels to participate in this years Chelmsford-Westford PMC Kids Ride! Go to registration and chose the option for Tiny Tots Ride. Your child will receive a t-shirt and be able to participate in all the activities of the day.

There will be face painting, raffle prizes, music, ice cream, snacks, games, and a lot more! We hope to see you this year on May 31st!
