Eighteen art students from the Chelmsford High School, Parker Middle School and McCarthy Middle School in Chelmsford were notified recently they earned awards at the Boston Globe-Scholastic Art Awards. Several students were recipients of multiple awards.

Since 1923, The Scholastic Art Awards have offered millions of students the opportunity to display their art works for regional and national recognition. The objective of the program is to foster the confidence of young artists and to invite students to broaden their horizons while winning national recognition. The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the largest and longest running programs of their kind in the country.
