Committee Openings to Evaluate Uses for Center Fire Station Property

Members will be appointed and the deadline for applications is Dec. 30.

The Board of Selectmen will be appointing members to the 101 Mill Road Committee, a temporary committee which will evaluate potential uses for the property at 101 Mill Road, which was purchased by a Town Meeting vote on Nov. 17.

The seven-member committee will be appointed by the Board of Selectmen. It will report its findings and recommendations to both the Board of Selectmen and Town Meeting. The committee will consist of seven members, appointed by the Board of Selectmen. At least two members will be active Town Meeting Representatives from Precinct 9. The Committee will be expected to hold regular meetings, following all Open Meeting Law regulations. At the first scheduled meeting, a chairman, vice chairman, and clerk will be elected. At least one public input session will be conducted.

Applications for this committee will be accepted until December 30, 2014. The terms for all members will run through December 31, 2015.

The 7 North Road Committee is a temporary committee, which shall evaluate potential uses for the property where the Center Fire Station is located.
