Creative Styles Reopens in North Chelmsford

With the new year, one Westford business is bringing itself to a new location just a few miles to the east in Chelmsford.

Creative Styles, formerly in the Main Street Plaza in Westford, has opened its doors with the new address of 2 Groton Rd. in North Chelmsford, in the former location of Running with Shears just before Vinal Square.

For Creative Styles proprietor Sherri Reynolds, moving into the location of what was once a hair salon will help reduce costs and was certainly a factor in the move, as was getting more traffic, which was limited in their Main Street location.

“The rent over there was a little less, but there was a lot more traffic,” said Reynolds, who noted that she also looked for other locations in Westford. “This is a tough spot because there’s not a lot of drive-by traffic.”

Although Reynolds is looking for new Chelmsford-based clients, she hopes that her new location, which is only a five minute drive from the Westford border, will help her retain the salon’s current clientele, although it may be difficult since many of her regular clients are currently live within walking distance.

“We hope that everyone from Westford comes to visit us because it’s not that far from the Westford line,” said Reynolds. “I hope most of the clients we have here are loyal clients that will follow us over there.”
