Cumberland Farms Hosts Grand Re-Opening, Donates to 24 Hour Relay

For four weeks beginning on Feb. 28, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage, iced tea, and coffee purchased to benefit the 24-Hour Relay.

Thanks to fundraising support from Cumberland Farms, ’s Leadership in Motion Everywhere (LIME) student group is receiving an early boost for its 16th annual 24-Hour Relay that raises money for local organizations.

For four weeks beginning on Tuesday, February 28, Cumberland Farms will donate 20 cents from every Chill Zone beverage, iced tea, and coffee (iced or hot) purchased at its newly remodeled store at 31 Drum Hill Road to benefit the 24-Hour Relay. This will be LIME’s 16th year organizing the relay to raise money for local charities and groups working for the community. The annual student-run overnight event will take place on Memorial Day Weekend.   Cumberland Farms aims to raise at least $1,000 for the relay.

“The students of Leadership in Motion Everywhere at Chelmsford High School work tirelessly through the school year to prepare and plan for the 24-Hour Relay,” said LIME advisor and school guidance counselor Tammy Leary.  “We are very grateful to have Cumberland Farms helping our students raise money for organizations that make a difference in our community.”

“We are proud to be raising funds to benefit an event that not only helps the Chelmsford community, but also promotes student leadership and teamwork,” said Ari Haseotes, President of the Cumberland Farms Retail Division. “We applaud the students of Leadership in Motion Everywhere at Chelmsford High School, and their efforts to bring people of all ages together to help make a difference in Chelmsford.”

This past year, Cumberland Farms donated more than $100,000 to support local organizations across the Northeast.
