VIDEO: Fire on Middlesex Street

Two-alarm fire in a two-story home.

Chelmsford firefighters are fighting a two-alarm blaze on Middlesex Street.

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and saw fire coming from the house. At that point, they struck a second alarm, which sent more fire apparatus to the scene.

Chelmsford Deputy Fire Chief Mike Donahue said officials are still not sure why the fire broke out. He said he was also unsure if anyone was home at the fire, but neighbors said the homeowner was out babysitting and was on her way back to the scene.
