It's Not Over Yet; Snow Expected to Return on Saturday Afternoon

Snow has changed over to rain and freezing rain across much of Greater Boston over the past hour, but that doesn’t mean the snow is over quite yet. 

Any area that is seeing rain and freezing rain can expect it to turn back to snow this afternoon. WCVB’s Harvey Leonard said another 1 to 3 inches of snow is possible this afternoon before the precipitation ends in the early evening.

With the first snowstorm of note this season coming to a close in a few hours, weather forecasters are looking at a weather system that could produce a larger storm starting on Monday night and possibly stretching to Wednesday morning.

Forecasters say it’s still too early to give predictions, but if the storm hits the area it could be a big one.
