LaBella Hair Studio Boasts New Location

LaBella is in its second year and looking ahead to a great future.

LaBella Hair Studio brings style and beauty to its clientele in a space with a European flair at its new location at 290 Littleton Road.

The studio opened in August 2010, and is owned by Nicole Camacho and Meghan Romagnoli, who designed the salon to best serve their clients.

“I wanted everything to flow and have a studio quality to it,” said Camacho, “I wanted it to be open; giving stylists more room to work versus a traditional salon layout where everything is so compacted.”

The high ceiling and spacious floor plan aim to accomplish this goal and to offset any sense of starkness. Rich wood tones, granite counters and a rustic red, brown and yellow color scheme were incorporated into the décor.

Camacho has been working in a salon environment since her teen years and began her professional career in 2001.  Romagnoli has been in the industry for eight years.

The pair used their past experience to guide them in making key choices for the salon. A separate color bar was created to allow clients who are processing color to have their own space away from customers getting cuts or blowouts. The cutting and styling stations were installed as individual islands allowing for greater use of workspace while avoiding the feeling of being up against a wall.

The emphasis on staying up to speed on the latest trends and techniques is critical for the salon, Camacho and Romagnoli said, as styles and techniques may change as quickly as season to season.

“You are never done with your education in this field,” said Camacho.

In addition to Camacho and Romagnoli, the team consists of five stylists, an assistant and an aesthetician who are committed to quality service in a friendly environment. Some have trained in New York and California and they say their specialties to be curly hair and expert color techniques.

Karla Kittler, who travels from Bedford, N.H. to get her curly cut feels the driving time is worth it.

“After years searching for the perfect cut for my curls, I finally found a salon that knows how to cut and style a curly girl's hair,” said Kittler. “The atmosphere at LaBella is very relaxed and inviting making the forty minute drive well worth it.”

LaBella Hair Studio is located at Hawthorne Place on Route 110. Parking is ample.

In addition to cuts, color and styling, LaBella seeks to give back to the community by hosting special events or running promotions on the hottest treatments such as the popular Keratin treatments.

Currently the salon is offering pink highlights and feathers to benefit national Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. All proceeds from these processes will go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
