Laura Merrill Respectfully Asks For Your Vote For The Chelmsford Board of Selectmen

Laura Merrill Candidate For The Chelmsford Board of Selectmen Repsectfully Asks For Your Vote on Tuesday, April 7th. Polls open 7am-8pm

Fiscal accountability and responsibility while maintaining the current level of services is my priority. I feel the responsibility placed on me by the taxpayers to spend their money wisely – I am a “Yankee spender” with my own money – and I will apply these same values when making decisions about what to do with the residents’ money.

During my two terms as a Town Meeting Representative, I have grown increasingly concerned with the level of funding that has been approved for nonessential expenditures, many of these projects being added to the town’s outstanding debt. During their last term as Selectmen, the incumbent candidates have voted against attempts to control property taxes in this town. This needs to be a priority and is the main reason I am running for the Board of Selectmen this year.

I greatly appreciate your consideration and support, and on Tuesday, April 7th I respectfully ask for one of your two votes for the Chelmsford Board of Selectmen.
