Lowell Woman Stole $7,800 From Nashua Banks: Police
Zuleyka Torres, of Lowell, was charged with two counts of felony forgery.
NASHUA, NH — A Lowell, Massachusetts woman was arrested Wednesday in connection with a $7,800 check fraud case in Nashua from 2013. Zuleyka Torres, 29, was charged with two counts of felony forgery. She was released on $2,000 bail pending an arraignment May 26 in Nashua District Court.

Nashua police Lieutenant Kerry Baxter said police obtained a warrant for for her arrest in December 2013 after receiving reports she cashed fraudulent checks at two Nashua banks — one for $4,300 and another for $3,500. Torres finally turned herself in Wednesday morning, Baxter said.
