Victim Of Fatal Merrimack River Jet Ski Crash ID'd

LOWELL, MA – A Lawrence man has been identified as the victim of a fatal jet ski crash on the Merrimack River in Lowell. Juan Arroyo-Ortiz, 39, was killed in a collision involving two jet skis, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's office.

The crash was reported in the Rynne Beach area between 2 and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Arroyo-Ortiz was taken to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call state, Lowell or environmental police.
