Officials Investigating Possible Animal Abuse Case

The Chelmsford Police Department’s Animal Control Division announced Tuesday morning it’s investigating a possible case of animal abuse.

While details aren’t readily available, officials are asking residents if they have seen any suspicious activity in the past 24 to 48 hours at the Wotton Street boat ramp/Southwell Field boat ramp that may help in the investigation, they should contact Animal Control Officer Erik Merrill at (978) 256-0754.
