One Injured in Monday Night Fire at Senior Living Facility

The fire happened at an independent living facility in town.

One person was injured in a fire Monday night at a senior living facility in Chelmsford.

The fire was reported just before 9 p.m. Monday night at 20 Summer St., which is the location of Summer Place, an independent living facility in Chelmsford.

Residents were evacuated and one resident was transported via MedFlight with burns. There are no reports of any other injuries.

Fire officials told MyFoxBoston, the fire was contained to one unit. Some residents have been displaced due to smoke and water damage to half of the building.
