Wichai Saksene was found dead with a gunshot wound to the chest outside of the Orchard Terrace residence in Salem, New Hampshire, on Friday, June 19. New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella has since reported the boy’s manner of death as a homicide. Saksene was a freshman at Lowell High School.
Bus Driver Failed To Slow Before Slamming Into Cars And Killing 5 From MA

The driver of a bus that slammed into cars backed up by traffic, killing a Greenfield family of four and a woman from Worcester, failed to slow down, according to the National Traffic Safety Board. The NTSB added that the motorcoach did not slow as it approached the traffic, colliding with the rear of a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and a 2020 Acura MDX. The bus, carrying 24 passengers, was traveling from New York to Charlotte, North Carolina, when it crashed on Interstate 95 near Quantico, Virginia.
Recent rumors have been confirmed that Trader Joe’s is in fact launching one of its newest locations in Quincy. According to the city, the grocery store business has a design submission on file. The grocery store will be the anchor retail tenant for a downtown development project on McConville Way. The mixed-use project will include 300 new housing units and a 100,000-square-foot medical facility operated by Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Both projects are anticipated to be completed sometime in 2027.
Rash Of Danvers Youth Incidents Cause 'Frustration, Concern And Hurt'
Danvers leaders are pledging added law enforcement and made a plea for community action after what they called a series of hateful incidents have transpired recently. Town Manager Jill Cahill, Police Chief James Lovell and Superintendent Dan Bauer issued a joint statement after an increase in reports of youth on bicycles and e-bikes harassing residents and businesses, as well as leaving hate-based vandalism and graffiti. Officials said racist and antisemitic acts will be investigated and addressed through "appropriate legal, educational, and community-based responses."

Residents are encouraged to check both state and local laws before investing in fireworks this Independence Day. Both the types of fireworks consumers can possess and when they can buy and use them have been significantly deregulated over the past two decades. Many states also allow the use of fireworks on the days on either side of the 4th of July and other major holidays. Massachusetts law prohibits the possession, use, or sale of fireworks without the proper license and certification. The law applies even to fireworks that were purchased lawfully in another state. The penalties for illegal fireworks sales and possession can be severe.
Former Emmanuel College Admissions Director Sentenced In Sex Trafficking Case
Jacob Tyler Henriques was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison after he pleaded guilty in November 2025 to one count of attempted sex trafficking of a minor and one count of cyberstalking. Henriques worked as an Assistant Admissions Director at Emmanuel College, where prosecutors said he used his position to gain access to the personal information of admitted and prospective students.
