Pittsburgh 35 – Michigan State 30
Pittsburgh won the Junior Boys Champion ship was an amazing come from behind victory over Michigan State 35-30 in game two of the double elimination final. The Spartans could not nothing wrong in the first quarter as they stormed to an 18-2 lead with Evan Smith scoring 6 of his team high 10 points. The second quarter however was a different story as the Panthers forced a number of turnovers and closed to within 2 at halftime. (22-20) Pittsburgh took control in the third period and grabbed a 30-26 lead and Michigan State would never get the lead back. Center Delaine Driscoll led his club with 10 points. Fellow Center Surrag Srinivas came up huge with 9 points of which 7 came in the big second quarter. Dylan McCulre put up 7 points, Jay Lopresti 5 points and Will Hulett 4 points. Matt LoPresti, Michael O’Keefe, Justin Plausky, Austin Ginett and Mitchell Bottomley also made strong contributions to help Pittsburgh take the title. Michael Koechlin scored 8 for Michigan State while Alex Hill had 6 points and Jake Warnock 4 points.
