QUESTION: When Will Missing Traffic Signs Be Replaced?

Question:  Why has the Town not replaced the missing “No Left Turn” sign from Chelmsford St. onto Billerica Rd. at the center?   The missing sign is the one that would be right in front of the traffic and hard to miss, but without it, many cars make the illegal turn.

I have asked the DPW and Police about this several times, but they don’t have an answer.

Then, there is a missing left-arrow sign at the top of Wilson Street showing which way Rt. 129 East goes.  When I’ve asked about that, they say it’s a State responsibility.

Answer: We pointed your questions to Town Manager Paul Cohen. This is his response:

The "No Left Turn" signs are still installed at the intersection of Chelmsford Street and Billerica Road.  One is along the road way and the other is on the traffic signal pole.   The DPW will replace the missing Route 129 East sign at the intersection of Wilson Street and Billerica Road.
