Scouts, Minutemen Set for Annual March to Concord
Sergeant Jim Curley of the Chelmsford Minutemen wore his full 1770s gear to promote the re-enactment of the Patriots Day March from Chelmsford Common to Concord at Monday's Board of Selectmen meeting.

On Monday night, the Board of Selectmen were greeted by a man with holding a gun. Fortunately for those in attendance, he's a danger only to Redcoats.

“We want to invite everyone to join the Minutemen, the boy scouts, the girl scouts, and fellow citizens in reliving the fateful march of April 19, 1775 that thrust the colonies into the start of the American Revolution,” Curley declared.
The march will take place on Monday, April 15 beginning at 4am across from the First Parish Church in the Chelmsford Common.

“We will be in full outfit, as you can see here. We will carry our muskets and once we get to Carlisle, we actually will fire the muskets,” Curley said. The march ends in the Minuteman National Park.
The ten mile march ends with a 2.5 mile parade in Concord.
“The boy scouts and girl scouts who go will receive a coveted and very rare Chelmsford Trail to Concord patch that they can wear on their uniform,” Curley was proud to announce.
Vice Chairwoman Pat Wojtas joined in the festivities last year. Curley was happy to present Wojtas a framed patch signifying her participation in last year's march.
