Sesame Street Stabbing Followed By Intentional Crash: Prosecutors
A Dracut man was charged from his hospital bed with trying to kill a woman before crashing his car on purpose.

DRACUT, MA — A Dracut man who allegedly tried to stab a woman to death before intentionally crashing his car was arraigned at the hospital Wednesday. James O'Neil, 59, is accused of stabbing a woman he knows on Sesame Street last week.
O'Neil was charged from his hospital bed after undergoing surgery following a crash last Tuesday shortly after midnight. Prosecutors said he fled a Sesame Street residence after stabbing the victim, who is known to him, then intentionally crashed his car at the intersection of Methuen Street and Parker Road. He was transported to the hospital and underwent surgery.
The victim, a woman in her 50s, was found suffering from life-threatening stab wounds. She is in stable condition at a Boston hospital.

O'Neil was charged with assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and domestic assault and battery.
O'Niel was held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing.
