STATE'S OLDEST TAXPAYER ADVOCACY GROUP ENDORSES GALVIN FOR STATE REPRESENTATIVE
Vote Dennis Galvin for State Rep. on November 4

Westford, Mass., September 17, 2014 – The political arm of the state’s oldest and most well-known taxpayer group has announced its endorsement of Second Middlesex District Republican State Representative candidate, Dennis Galvin. The Citizens for Limited Taxation (CLT) 2 1/2 PAC endorsed Galvin this month. Citizens for Limited Taxation is best known for its support and successful advocacy of Proposition 2 ½.
Galvin commented on the endorsement by saying that he was “thrilled” to have the support of the CLT 2 1/2 PAC. He described himself as a great admirer of Barbara Anderson and Chip Faulkner and the work that they have done to control wasteful government spending in Massachusetts.
“Massachusetts suffers from a spending problem, not a revenue problem,” stated Galvin. “The state budget has expanded by $8 billion in the last 6 years. It is now $37 billion, the largest budget in state history. This growth is unsustainable and, if it continues, it will drive people out of the state and kill any hope of economic revitalization.” Galvin said that much of the budget growth is due to poor state management and, in some cases, fraud. He has pledged, if elected, to rout out waste and fraud and to improve the equity, efficiency and effectiveness of state government programs. Galvin has pledged not to raise taxes.
