Taking it to the Streets: How Do You Feel About the Recall Election?
Residents outside of the Chelmsford Public Library voice their opinions on the upcoming special recall election, slated for Aug. 2.
Chelmsford's special recall election will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 2, with the polls open from 7 a.m to 8 p.m. The recall, if it passes, will oust Selectmen Pat Wojtas, Matt Hanson, George Dixon and Jon Kurland from their offices.
Voter sentiment is split, though many people who spoke to a Chelmsford Patch reporter did not want to go on record. In a survey of of 22 residents outside of the library (which includes this segment of "Taking it to the Streets") four were for the recall, 10 were against, while eight either declined to comment, or said they didn't have enough information to make an informed decision.
