Town Census Arriving in Your Mail Soon
Also included with the census is a dog license application and polling consolidation notice.

Chelmsford Town Clerk Onorina Maloney is alerting all residents that the 2015 Annual Town Census will be arriving in the mail by Monday, Jan. 5. Residents are asked to please confirm/update your census form, sign it, and return it to the Town Clerk within 10 days of receipt.
The census also includes a separate dog license application, and a polling consolidation notice. All dogs must be licensed by February 28, 2015 to avoid fines.
“If you are a registered voter, failure to respond to the census shall result in removal from the active voting list and may result in removal from the voter registration rolls.” Maloney said.

“Answering the census on a yearly basis helps Chelmsford to maintain accurate population information for the allocation of state and federal funds, as well as grants to the Town. Furthermore, up to date census information assists individuals with proof of residency for numerous personal and/or legal requirements, such as: Veterans’ benefits, in-state tuition at state colleges or universities, housing benefits for the elderly and insurance benefits.” Maloney stated.
