Tree Worker Air Lifted From Buckman Drive

The Chelmsford Fire Department confirmed that a tree worker suffered injuries by coming into contact with wires.

Chelmsford firefighters responded to Buckman Drive on Monday morning after a tree worker was injured when he came in contact with electrical wires.

Scanner transmissions just after 11 a.m. indicated that the tree worker was cutting branches on Buckman Drive when the incident happened. Chelmsford Fire Captain Daniel Manley confirmed to Patch that one person was injured during the accident.

Manley said the man was transported by Medflight, which landed at Roberts field, according to scanner reports. He was reportedly flown to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

The worker's identity was not known as of 12 p.m. on Monday, and Manley said it is currently unclear what condition he was in when transported by helicopter.
